Most shooters used underlever rifles, but there were a couple of LBR’s too, which was quite tricky at 50m range. The competition was keenly fought with Vaughan Holding coming out on top, shooting an excellent score of 866.
Pete Biebrach was second with 818, and Barrie Learmont third on 815. Speaking afterwards, Barrie was annoyed that he had missed out one complete group of 6 shots! And John Munt was also looking good for a top three finish, but sadly due to a gun jam on one of the courses of fire, he missed out on a potential 180 points!
On a glorious summer’s morning, it was a great event and next week we have the same again in .22 – come along and compete if you can, it should be another cracking competition.
