Another successful shoot was held at Penally in May and the turnout of 20 shooters and volunteers was the best for a long time.
The start was delayed for an hour by two pleasure craft anchoring in the danger zone between Penally and Caldy Island but they were moved on after a call to the Coastguard.
The weather was good and there was some fine shooting displayed using an array of rifles including a 19th Century Springfield Trapdoor, Mausers, Enfield’s , an Arisaka and modern rifles such as Remington 700’s.
Thanks to our friends from Penrhypwl and particularly to Nigel Roche for volunteering to act as RCO for the day.
The next shoot at Penally will take place on Wednesday 21st June. Please advise David Scheeres if you intend to attend and as always all are welcome.
