A new member came to the club the other day and asked my opinon on what air guns are best and what calibre to use so i thought why not write on my blog what air guns i think are best and why so here goes. Personal Favourite Spring gun is Air Arms TX200 i now own both type long barrel and hunter carbine both .22 and they are fantastic  very accurate, good bulid quality, only fault is they are very heavy but i find that makes them feel sturdy. Second best spring guns are weirauch 95 or 97 very well made good quality stocks. Now for Pre Charged my favourite is the theoben rapid very accurate gun plus with the buddy bottle u can get 200 shots without needing to fill lovely trigger only bad point again is it is heavy because of the buddy bottle but you soon get use to it because its well balanced. My second favourite Pre Charged is Air Arms S410 and S510 both very similar to shoot very accurate,light, well built,very quiet, perfect hunting gun and brillant for target shooting. Best gun if your on a tight budget is the Edgar Brothers model 60 very good gun for cheap price even comes with lovely walnut stock only problem is trigger is very hard but its easy to loosen off. 
Now for the calibres .177 is best for target shooting as the fly flatter and for longer plus i tend to get tighter groups.
.22 this is the perfect pellet for both target shooting and hunting good range and do fair amount of damage upto 50 metres.
If anyone has used .20 or .25 id be interested to hear what they are like.  If anyone has any other guns they think should be mentioned then feel free.
