It is with great sadness that we have to inform you of the passing of Neville Pryce-Jones.
Together with his wife, Mavis he founded County Sports in 1965.
In 1968 he was founder member of the Haverfordwest Pistol Club, now Haverfordwest Target Shooting Club, which was initially based at the Drill Hall, Haverfordwest. This year is our 50th. Anniversary; a 50 year period which has seen the club blossom from its humble beginnings. We will always be grateful to Neville and the other founder members for starting it all off.
He was one of Great Britain’s top clay target shooting personalities. He ran an International shooting ground at Deep Lake, Haverfordwest and for many years he was Great Britain shooting team manager for the World Championships, Commonwealth Games and Olympic Games.
He was also an International clay target shooting judge for many years and was President of the British International Clay Target Shooting Federation and Chairman of the European Shooting Federation.
County Sports is still going strong and it’s without a doubt thanks to the wealth of knowledge he passed on.
The funeral will be held at Bethesda Baptist Church on Friday 19th 12pm.
