The 1500 competition continued on Sunday 27th June, with the small-bore round and some additional LBR competitors weighing in.

As always, there was close competition and plenty of talking points: the usual calamities – shooting on the wrong target, dropped magazines in the middle of a very short duration course of fire and even an LBR which literally fell to bits during a reload!

But pride of place goes to a new member taking part in his very first competition with a borrowed gun – Ian McCallan managed a sensational score of 747 points in the .22 to take overall 1st place! Very well done, Ian. There’ll be a few shooters with an eye on prizes this year looking over their shoulders now!

Another B League shooter managed overall second place – well done to Richard James with 726 points. It was good turn-out for a excellent competition and it’s great to be using the new 50m range.
