Membership


We have an open meeting every Sunday morning from about 10:00am for Firearms shooting and Thursday evenings from 7:00pm for Airguns. This is when many of the members will be found at the club.

Why not join us?

Visitors are welcome to attend.  To book a visit to the club, please send an email with your details to htsec@gmail.com . Once we have your details we will invite you to the club for your first visit. This will usually be on a Sunday morning after about 11.00. for Firearms, or Thursday Evening after 7.00 for the Air Section.

Your introductory visit to our club incorporates filling in a declaration form, this visit will be free and after that you will pay £2 per visit (to cover the costs of targets) for the next three visits, to enable you to decide whether or not you wish to join.

Joining the Club
Anyone wishing to join our club must complete an application form to include THREE passport style photographs.
After that they will then be offered the mandatory probationary period of six months membership. Once accepted as probationary members, they have to attend the club regularly in order to comply with the rules of the club.

They will be given supervision and training on the aspects of safety and gun handling for the extent of their probationary service.
Then of course, when every new prospective member has been vetted and police checks completed on every applicant, you may be offered a full membership of the Club. Prospective members are reminded that full membership is not granted automatically, but is dependant on regular attendance during their mandatory six month probation period. Once all the checks and vetting have been carried out, you may be offered full membership.

Please Note  – It is a condition of Full Membership of the Firearms Section that you Obtain and Maintain a Firearms Certificate.
Applications can only be accepted from anyone aged 14 or over. A parent or adult relative must accompany applicants under the age of 16 when they apply to join.
Current fees are £120 per year for an individual or £180 for a family and £20 per year for juniors.

For applicants wishing to join the Firearms Section or transferring from the Air Section to Firearms there is an additional one off Training Fee of £40.
