An unusual event was held on 27th Sept, when the FAC side of the club had an evening competition to squeeze in a match which had been held over from earlier in the year due to ‘fixture congestion’.
It was an Edwardian Rifle Match for all rifles and replicas of pre WWI vintage (under-levers etc.) shot with iron sigths at 50m. and shot standing and unsupported.
As the competition progressed it became increasingly challenging due to the failing autumn evening light. Richard James ran out the winner, with Charles Rone and Peter Biebrach in second and third places respectively.
Unfortunately, Tom Davies and Jan Trussler were forced to retire through technical issues.
