Shooting Day at Penally

The Club has been able to arrange access to the shooting range at Penally and we are currently putting together a day trip for the club to go shooting full-bore rifle (black powder and nitro). The date will be announced as soon as it is confirmed.
It is being arranged by Tom Davies (Competition Secretary) and is expected to cost in the region of £30 for the day. So anyone interested should either contact Tom or add their name to the notice in the club house.

They will let you book the range but when you turn up they will ask to see everybody's range cards, and as far as I am aware, I am the only one in the club with a suitable card. Gallery rifle and blackpowder cards do not count. You need the full TR card or something similar (Match Rifle etc) which Martin in all honesty cannot sign you off for. The only way I can see that you can get one of these is to go to Bisley and go on an NRA course (expensive). Even if you join a Bisley club now, you will still need to go on a course. The only reason I got my card was the fact that I had previous and continuous experience of shooting at long distances with my existing club.
