Mini 1500 Continues - Small Bore & LBR Part 2
The 1500 competition continued on Sunday 27th June, with the small-bore round and some additional LBR competitors weighing in.
As always, there was close competition and plent of talking points: the usual calamities - shooting on the wrong target, dropped magazines in the middle of a very short duration course of fire and even an LBR which literally fell to bits during a reload!
But pride of place goes to a new member taking part in his very first competition with a borrowed gun - Ian McCallan managed a sensational score of 747 points in the .22 to take overall 1st place! Very well done, Ian. There'll be a few shooters with an eye on prizes this year looking over their shoulders now!
Another B League shooter managed overall second place - well done to Richard James with 726 points. It was good turn-out for a excellent competition and it's great to be using the new 50m range.

I would just like to say how much I enjoyed the competition last Sunday. I'm totally shocked that I managed to hit the target, never mind win it. A combination of beginners luck and unfortunate incidents to other members, as David mentioned above. I would like to thank Alan for the use of his gun and jacket and for loading my ammo, etc. Also thank you to John Munt for his excellent tuition at the event.
