Well folks the Phoenix Meeting (the Annual Celebration of Shooting Sports for 2012) held at the National Shooting Centre Bisley has come and gone. Several of our Club members went for the weekend and all of them had a thoroughly enjoyable time. Jill Tanner, Sutton Tanner and Marek Pawlik   The National Rifle Association holds a Gallery Rifle and Pistol competition four times a year at the National Shooting Centre Bisley. David Scheeres kindly arranged a date for a shooting day at Penally Range. It took place on Thursday 28th July.   I can report another excellent day at Penally. The weather was fine, with only a light wind. A dozen from HTSC split into two sections. 10 members and 2 volunteers attended the Penally range this week for a great day’s shooting.   Rifles seen on the firing point included enough vintage Mauser k98’s to equip a Platoon, a Boer War Era “Long Lee”, SMLE’s, Winchester pattern 1917, Swedish Model 1896, 3 band muzzle loading P1853 and 7.62mm target rifles.
