Here are the results of the Xmas Practical – no Reindeer were intentionally harmed. Tinsel everywhere and bobber steel plates. Next year they may well be dressed up as baubles. A good time was had by all. Steve ran out of ammo, Tim used his Henry which takes 10 mins to load (on a good day), Adam had 6 goes at the last bobber before killing it. 100m B/R Fullbore Rifle Results

Here are the results from Sunday. Iron sights was best 10 of 13 on a PL7 target. Scoped competition was shot on the new targets which are minuscule. Aiming mark is about the size of a large bluebottle. At 100m with no scope, all you see is blank paper. Paul shot a brilliant group in the iron sighted section, unfortunately in the wrong place! 25th November Full Bore B/R comp at 100M

Please note that the original Tuesday date has been changed to a Sunday. We have now got the new targets in and they are very small (think of a large bluebottle 100m away). Comp is 3 sighters on the sighter target and 10 to count, 5on each of T1 and T2. The targets are a smidgen bigger than last time, thanks to Andrew’s good offices. All in 10 mins. Iron sights target same old PL7’s.
